The “1st Lafayette Holi Festival” was held, Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Girard Park in Lafayette. Holi is the Indian Festival of Colors, where participants cover each other in brightly colored powders and paints as they dance through the street. The festivities in the park included Bollywood music, dancing, Indian food and giant color and water fight.My first Holi Fest was soo much fun!! You should all come next year :) I love me some Bollywood music. Everyone was laughing, and dancing, and the colors were so vivid.. Clean-up took a good hour, and I still have a bit of a pink tint in my hair, but it was all worth it!
