Happy new year!
I was originally planning on going out and gettin crunk.. And now I’m lying on my little sister’s fluffy bed, playing around on the computer …voluntarily!
What’s wrong with me? I don’t really know, but it can’t be anything too bad because I have to say I’m pretty darn content right now. I had a tasty dinner and got to visit a group of friends I...

Hell. Yes.

Anne of Green Gables.. Canadian classic fiction turned film. Highly reccommended. 2. Tangled - fabulously fun! Superb animation, I laughed, and I cried.. (but it doesn’t take much from a movie to make me tear up.) I’m still partial to Princess and the Frog though, in the recent Disney movie category. 3. The King’s Speech - I really expected it to be boring, but was pleasantly...

“There is only one thing that causes unhappiness. The name of that thing is Attachment. What is an attachment? An emotional state of clinging caused by the belief that without some particular thing or some person you cannot be happy… An attachment by its very nature makes you vulnerable to emotional turmoil and is always threatening to shatter your peace.” - Anthony de Mello
One man's trash is usually my treasure
I’ve been reading this fantastic little book called “The Way to Love.” It’s shockingly insightful, and actually doesn’t have much to do with relationships at all. In fact, “How to be Happy” might even be a better title. Each chapter elaborates on a passage from the Bible, but it doesn’t feel like you’re reading a Bible at all. It has potential...

Ingenius Marketing
“Tazo is an enticing source of wonder, inspiration, and antioxidants.” “Tazo Giant Peach is the outlandishly juicy union of delicious green teas with plump, ripe peaches and a hearty pinch of amusement at the endless wonders of life.” ……. Wow. I bought a bottle of iced tea seeking to quench my thirst, and instead I found Enlightenment.
As much as I enjoy to drink coffee at any given opportunity, it’s probably not a very practical habit.

Poor daddy is practically under house arrest this Christmas with a ruptured Achilles tendon.. He can’t travel to Canada with mom, Rachel and I for the holidays :( At least Erin will be in town, but it’s still a depressing situation. Especially since dad is such a social person. This is one of the seldom times I realize a nice boyfriend would come in handy - to visit him - but it’s too late for...
On the plane,
A baby was crying. I thought, “ugh, how annoying.” Also on the plane, a pet cat was mewing. I thought, “oh, how cute!”
"A crude awakening to a rude reality"
…… Catchy, eh? What’s the point? Dunno yet. I’m sure I’ll find a use for it someday. Just thought I’d better jot it down before I fall asleep or forget it
you're everywhere and it kills me.
Getting into a new book.
Graphic novel, really. It’s actually the first one I have bought that you read from right to left! It’s a Japanese horror story about a town that’s haunted by …spirals. The residents become eerily obsessed, even POsessed by the spirals, leading to mysterious deaths and self mutilation. I started it this afternoon and am already halfway through.. Hurray for picture books.
